Sorta A Week in Outfits

So I had this great idea to take a picture of what I wore each day and then post a blog post with a week in outfits. But I kinda slacked off, so really it's just a couple of outfits. I'll do what I did two posts ago, where I list what I'm wearing underneath the photo and I'll also try to tell you where I got it.

 Outfit One: Wednesday
A gray flowered cami. A blue ribbed Old Navy tank top. A mens Levi's shirt that I twisted into a dress. Black Old Navy leggings. I think this outfit could've been better.

Outfit Two: Thursday
A turquoise lace cami. A yellow plaid shirt. A brown braided Claire's belt. A red skirt. Striped
littlemissmatched matching(it's complicated)knee socks. Blue Vans.

Outfit Three: Friday at School
A blue ribbed Old Navy tank top. A blue flowy tee shirt. A black and white striped skirt. My FAVORITE shoes EVER: Payless black sandal wedges.

Outfit Four: Friday at my Friend's House

Rambling...

So, drum roll please! The winner from last post is outfit number three!!!! I love that outfit, although my favorite is the one no one voted for, outfit two!

I hope you guys like my new design! I just made a few changes to the background to make it look more grownup and also more fashion-y!

Speaking of which, I've decided to make my blog more fashion focused, but don't worry I'll still be posting about my life and opinions and stuff too!

My new goal in life is to be a candy maker. More on that in another post!

My dream.  I had an insane dream. Me and this boy in my class are on a giant ball made out of legos hurtling through space. Since we're in outer space we keep throwing books in the air and they disappear. Then fat Japanese guys drop giant sushi on us.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK MY DREAM MEANS IN COMMENTS!

Black Lace

So yesterday I went to a town dance for all the fifth graders in my town and I noticed a lot of black lace shirts over white. I liked the way they look, so I'm gonna create like three outfits that use black lace shirts and have you guys vote on which you like best.

Outfit One:

A black flower lace long sleeve shirt over a white tank top, a tan skirt, and blue peep toe flats. For jewelry, a gold necklace.

Outfit Two:

A black lace top over a green tank top, a brown skirt, and black and white oxfords. For jewelry, gold drop earrings and gold and brown bangles.

Outfit Three:

This one is actually a black lace dress with brown/tan sandals and pearls.

Vote on which one you like best in a comment below and next post I'll announce the winner and tell you my favorite!

Desert Island: What Do You Bring?

I'm still sick so I should be posting Part Two but I'll write that later. This post is based on a youtube show I watch called Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp. It's a reality show. Here's the the fourth episode:

I thought I would tell you guys what three things I would bring to a desert island.

               1) Sunscreen- Sunscreen is SO important and unlike when at camp, I WOULD ACTUALLY PUT IT ON!

               2) My sister- I need a mix of family and friend, AND NOT A FAMILY FRIEND!

               3) My mom's iPad to keep in touch with everyone and for entertainment!

What three things would you bring to a desert island? Tell me in comments!

Being Sick with Reality TV Part One

I got a concussion last week.

Now I'm sick.

My stomach hurts.

I've watched hours of reality TV.

Literally hours. I've watched Say Yes To The Dress, Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta, Say Yes To The Dress Bridesmaids, Chopped, Cupcake Wars, House Hunters, Wife Swap, Food Network Challenge and probably more.

Say Yes To The Dress is a show about girls finding their dream wedding dresses. There's the finding the dress, alterations, fittings, and finally the wedding. Say Yes To The Dress is probably the show I've watched the most of since I started watching it a few weeks before the concussion. I like it a lot, but it gets boring! I mean seriously, how many different plot lines are there in a girl shopping for a wedding dress? There's the bringing too many people to help you choose, one controlling person, no idea what you want, and problems in fittings. Seriously, that's it! And yes, I still watch it and enjoy it!

Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta is the classic "Atlanta" version of Say Yes To The Dress. Oh, and the southern accents are INSANE!

Say Yes To The Dress Bridesmaids is like Say Yes To The Dress except they're shopping for BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES! I LOVE this show! It has the same basic plot lines as Say Yes To The Dress, but this show I LOVE, not "like it a lot"!

Chopped is a show on Food Network where it starts out with four chefs. In the first round they have twenty minutes to create an appetizer that must include the four items in a mystery basket. After the twenty minutes are up the judges critique them on taste, presentation, and creativity. The chef with the worst dish is "chopped". The remaining three chefs have thirty minutes to create an entree with a new four ingredients, then they are critiqued, one of them is chopped, two chefs remain. In the last round they have thirty minutes to create a dessert with a new mystery basket. In the end the judges look at all three courses to decide which chef will be chopped and which chef will win the competition, be a Chopped Champion, and win 10,000 dollars. WOW, I just sounded like an add for the show! My family has watched this show for a while and we really like it and it's probably the least dumb of all these reality TV shows.

THE HUNGER GAMES MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I SAW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now get ready for everything I have to say about it!

WARNING: SPOILERS

Overall I thought is was an incredibly good, but not quite great, movie. I think that if I hadn't read the book, the movie would've been better. After all, as you'll soon see, most of the stuff that bugged me were the tiny differences from the book.

Some of the little details that annoyed me were the fact that in the book, at the private training session, boys went before girls. In the movie, it was the opposite: girls before boys. Another minor detail was (and this is a big spoiler) that in the book, when Katniss and Peeta are crowned as the two victors of the hunger games, President Snow has only one  crown, and it creates suspense, until he twists it in half and puts one half on each victors head. In the movie, there are two crowns.

Speaking of Snow, I thought he was too old and nice. One of the things in the book was that all the people in the capitol, like Snow, had plastic surgery to look younger. In the movie I thought Snow just looked like Santa.
He's also too warm and friendly, I always imagined Snow to just be cold.

I thought there wasn't enough Cinna in this movie. I LOVE Cinna, and he just wasn't as big of a character. They also pretty much deleted Katniss' prep team as characters, they didn't even talk! And think of how much bigger characters the prep team become in the later books, especially Mockingjay.

Another one of my issues was the Cornucopia. I always imagined it to look like (and I don't know why) a giant Grammy.

Instead it looked REALLY different.

Alright, enough with the bad stuff, let's focus on the positive.

I thought the violence was done really well. They had this camera technique where they shot it from all different angles really fast so A) you didn't have to watch the most gruesome parts and B) it moved so fast that you couldn't think and it made you feel like you were experiencing it right then. That doesn't mean they just skipped over all the awful violence; I still saw some pretty gross stuff.

Rue was portrayed REALLY well. The actress, Amandla Stenberg, was a perfect choice and did an incredible job. Prim was pretty good too.

I LOVE CEASER FLICKMAN!!!!!!! HE WAS SOOOOO FUNNY!!!!! On another bad note, Haymitch was a little too sober.

I think, just like all the other critics, that the score was exceptional.

Like my Hunger Games review? What did you think of the movie?
